Breastfeeding insults

In my opinion, this is a brilliant article, which is written by a Anna Burbidge, a volunteer breastfeeding counsellor who spends time supporting mums who want to overcome problems to continue to breastfeed their babies. She is fighting back against the Breastfeeding Nazi and Breastapo insults.

Locally, we have some excellent volunteer breastfeeding supporters, who are passionate about breastfeeding and give up a lot of their time – when asked for it – to help new mums breastfeed their baby and I know so many mums who would have stopped breastfeeding if it wasn’t for the support of these ‘Breastfeeding Nazis’, which is a really vile and unnecessary insult.

For local breastfeeding support, we have a fantastic La Leche League group, which holds regular meetings and has an active and supportive Facebook Page
