“Breastfeed” Art Project

Artist Leanne Pearce hopes you will support her “Breastfeed” exhibition to tour, in order to celebrate and help normalise breastfeeding…

Breastfeeding mothers are strong, powerful, nurturing humans and perhaps at some points fragile. Each mother and baby partnership has their own unique story which can change and evolve quite organically or indeed be disrupted. Breastfeeding is often not plain sailing and many feel vunerable during this time. The series of paintings attempts to capture the loving, tender relationships and show a  of the maternal bond in formation – The aim of my exhibition is to contribute to normalising and celebrating breastfeeding, in a personal, creative and innovative way. I strongly believe if I can get this work out there in the public domain we might come a little closer to this goal…Hence the crowd funding bid… I am not pocketing any of the cash raised, the money will go towards framing all the pieces (roughly about £200 a frame) and transporting them from venue to venue. I hope you can support this…
