Captured Forever: babies, babies babies

The last month has been very busy month here at Captured Forever, here is a round up of a few of the shoots…

Will and Lucy came and had an hour shoot at my Kiki’s Kabin Studio shoots – these shoots are ideal for those with under-5’s if you are wanting to capture milestones. For under 1’s this can be sitting, standing, crawling, first tooth, smiling, christening gowns, first shoes – there are so many firsts!  Luckily for Lucy her big brother was able to pop in over his lunchtime at school and join her.  Will was a real natural with the camera and took very little directing, his eye contact was fantastic and he was up for trying all sorts of poses! Lucy took a bit of encouraging, but was certainly most happy when she was with her big brother.

Abigail is 7 days new in these pics. As a mobile service I went to her home, and we did the shoot in their lovely big lounge. Abigail’s parents wanted simple girly images for Abigail’s shoot, I always work with parents on their wishes and preferences for their shoot of their new bundle.  Abigail was brilliant on her shoot, we got through all the images that her mum and dad wanted, we had some lovely *gasp* moments as she was just so cute in her poses.  As with most newborn photo shoots, Abigail did need to stop for a couple of feeds but she settled really quickly back into her modelling debut. Abigail’s parents bought a newborn shoot for £80 – which included the mobile service to their home, use of any props, and an up to four hour shoot, with at least four different set ups.

Luca is 2.5 days old! I went to Luca’s grandma’s house to do the shoot in her lounge. I had met Luca’s grandma before at a newborn shoot of a family friend so it was really lovely to see her again and meet her grandson. Luca’s mummy wanted snuggly shots and had chosen lots of close ups of faces in her selections. Luca’s mum bought a newborn shoot for £80.

Rania turned one in February and we did her Cake Smash on her actual birthday!  I went to Rania’s home and we did the shoot in her lovely big kitchen diner. Rania is a returning little lady as I was also lucky enough to do her newborn pics aswell.  Rania had a big weekend of celebrations and had a house full of family around her, so we took the opportunity to capture some images of her cousin’s aswell.  Unfortunately I cannot supply the cake due to food hygiene regulations though. Rania normally loves cake, but was very polite with it and just did a bit of picking!  I was delighted to get the opportunity to use one of my new cake smash outfits, and even more delighted that my tissue pom poms matched the cake so beautifully!!

Ellie was also one in February!  I first met Ellie and her mummy at her newborn shoot, so it was brilliant seeing her again as seeing how much she has grown as she arrived a little earlier than expected. Ellie’s parents choose the portrait and cake smash elements of my birthday packages. Unfortunately Ellie was a little under the weather for her shoot, and there were a few tears, but she did an amazing job when she got the hang of it, but she wasn’t going to part with any of her smiles for anyone! However she was brilliant at letting me capture those awesome big blue eyes. It is safe to say that Ellie and her daddy really enjoyed the cake smash element of this shoot! Ellie’s parents bought a two element birthday package, which included their 6 image storyboard canvas, 5 digital images and 3 10×8 prints, plus that added on a bundle of 5 6×4 prints for mother’s day gifts.

Evie also arrived in Feb and was 10 days old in her pics.  I was very lucky to also do Evie’s mummy’s maternity shoot so I was very excited to meet her! I went to Evie’s home and her big brothers were there aswell so we did some lovely sibling shots. Evie’s grandma absolutely loves sunflowers so there were a must have shot for her shoot. As is often the case Evie’s midwife was there for part of the shoot to check her and mummy out. This happens a lot on shoots where the health visitor or midwife pop in – we just work around it between shots, if we are just getting them settled they are usually ok to stop and watch for a bit! Evie’s parents bought a newborn package, which included two large canvases 6 10×8 prints ,6 7×5 prints and 2 digital images.

Jessica is 7 days new in her images, I met Jessica’s mummy at the Expectant Mummies event at Olives at the Station in November, and also did her maternity shoot! So it was really lovely to finally meet her. Jessica was amazing on her shoot she was super settled and just let us get on with it. She provided much entertainment when we were doing her shots with her Daddy and she wee’d all down his tummy!  We did have a bit of Star Wars fun with her shoot aswell which was just brilliant!

Also in February, I had two more images awarded bronze bar with the Guild of Photographers which I am really proud of as it is really hard to get an award with them as a National body that received 1000’s of entries each month – congratulations to Tommy and Little Lady x who’s parents are keeping her off line…
