Going back to work…

Returning to work after your maternity leave can seem like a daunting prospect. Some mums are ready to resume some kind of normality, while other mums just aren’t ready for that next step and have concerns about how they will manage.

I have run a couple of Return To Work sessions this month and some of the issues that have been raised include:

feeding and expressing

weaning and baby’s food

juggling work and home

childcare

sleep

guilt

missing your baby

what if your baby doesn’t settle

more change

fitting everything in

new routines

Having the chance to talk through your return to work can help you plan and be aware of some of the practical issues that may make it work as well as possible for you.
It can also help to find out more about how babies can react to your return to work
and what you can do about it.

Birth & Baby Family Centre

Return To Work sessions run on the first Wednesday of the month, in the
Birth & Baby Family Centre
