I have a little family centre…

and I love it. My little family centre makes me very happy and I try my very best to provide a safe, welcoming, comfortable space for parents from pregnancy and throughout life with their young family.

My philosophy

I don’t lecture or tell parents what to do. Instead I believe in keeping it simple – with straight-forward and beneficial information, informal and friendly sessions, tea,  fresh coffee, cake and a listening ear when it is needed.

I have the time to focus on parents when they need to talk, when they need some support, information, reassurance or a confidence boost.

What do I want the Family Centre to mean to parents?

Everything from a place to just pop into and meeting place to a safe, trusted space for good information, classes and reassurance.

All session fees are kept low but that doesn’t mean there is any lack of quality, experience or professionalism – I’m just not greedy and I want as many parents as possible to be able to access the drop-in sessions and classes.

My training and experience

I have worked with expectant and new parents since 2002 and I have a unique combination of professional training and experience…

DipHE in Antenatal Education, DipHE in Postnatal Group Facilitation, NCFE Certificate in Counselling Skills, Birth & Postnatal Doula Training, Infant Massage Instructor, Natal Hypnotherapy for Birth Professionals

It’s a great place for toddlers to play and run of some energy

Where is the Family Centre?

it is based within the East End Community Centre on George Street, North Shields NE30 1EL.
It is just off Tynemouth Road with plenty of free street parking or a 5 minute walk from the Metro

What do I need from you?

If you have a bump, baby or toddler – come along to a session. Here’s our timetable.

And I would love it if you could help me spread the word with friends, family and work colleagues so I can reach parents who will benefit from our sessions and services.

The feedback is brilliant – word of mouth and recommendation is the best way for me to reach more parents.

If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch…

Thank you so much
