Janine Rudin – antenatal teacher and doula

The Birth & Baby Network

Janine Rudin

As an experienced practitioner in pregnancy, birth and early parenting, I provide a unique range of professional support and services for expectant and new parents.

After working as an NCT antenatal teacher, Birth & Baby was created in 2008 to provide local parents with support from pregnancy and throughout the first year of their baby’s life – and to give me the freedom to provide parents with a unique range of classes, support and services.

Since 2013 I have developed the Birth & Baby Family Centre in North Shields to provide services under one roof for parents from pregnancy and until their children start school.

It is important to me to keep my session fees affordable, and it is always possible to make payments in instalments. This doesn’t mean there is any loss of quality – with over a decade of experience, I am dedicated to providing good information, support and reassurance for all parents.

“Janine has a rare gift, on the one hand down to earth and no-nonsense, while on the other kind and wise – coupled with sharp intelligence, fantastic knowledge and the ability to really listen. Did I mention she makes a mean pot of
tea as well?

As a mother, I understand the excitement and concerns of being pregnant, giving birth and becoming a parent and my sessions reflects this.

I specialise in running small groups and one-to-one sessions to ensure they are welcoming, friendly and supportive. I provide a personal approach to focus on you, to listen to you and to encourage you to feel confident and better prepared.

I will provide you with the time and opportunity to ask questions and gain reassurance and support. I offer a flexible approach and you can contact me in-between sessions and after your course has finished, for more information and ongoing reassurance.

As an experienced antenatal practitioner and doula, I aim to prepare expectant parents for the reality of giving birth – the need to be assertive, how to keep going, how to stay calm if your birth goes off-plan.
