I have been working with parents since 2002 and I am passionate about providing a range of services and support to meet the different needs of parents from pregnancy and throughout family life.
“Janine has a rare gift, on the one hand down to earth and no-nonsense, while on the other kind and wise – coupled with sharp intelligence, fantastic knowledge and the ability to really listen. Did I mention she makes a mean pot of tea as well?”

SANDS Bereavement Support Training
ASC Life Skills Coach
As a mother, I understand the excitement and concerns of being pregnant, giving birth and being a parent and my work reflects this.
I specialise in running small and informal groups and private consultations, which are welcoming, friendly and supportive. I provide a personal approach to focus on your unique need for information, support or reassurance. It’s about giving you a professional expertise, it’s about being listened to and being heard, it’s about giving you a confidence boost when you need it.
There are a number of people who have had an influence on my practice, whose words have had an impact on my work, on my births and on my parenting – how I do it, challenging me, reinforcing my perspective and putting fire in my belly. Lots of people write about birth and parenting and, in my opinion, these are the best…
Sheila Kitzinger, Ina May Gaskin, Naomi Stadlen, Sue Gerhardt, Nicky Wesson, Caroline Flint, Beverley Turner, Milli Hill and Rebecca Schiller
I listen to and learn from every parent I work with and this has a huge impact on my practice and it makes me able to be good at what I do in informing and supporting parents from pregnancy and as a parent.
Birth, Baby & Family
After working as an NCT antenatal teacher, Birth & Baby was born in 2008 to offer a range of classes, support and services.
I became Birth, Baby & Family in 2017 as I now work with parents of older children as well.
Birth, Baby & Family is all about the best information, services, classes and support for parents from pregnancy and throughout family life.
