Congratulations – you are having a baby! Pregnancy can be a time for celebration and excitement – as well as a time of change, anxiety and questions. It can be a time for information, support and reassurance; when you want to know what you are experiencing is normal and when you want to look after yourself. It is also a time to think about getting ready for the birth of your baby – where to give birth, how to give birth, gathering knowledge and skills and knowing your options.
Some women love being pregnant, for other women it is more challenging. All three of my pregnancies have been different, with different physical and emotional challenges. As a practitioner I see expectant parents for a range of issues which can include birth debrief before giving birth again, or being pregnant after babyloss.
I work with parents in pregnancy to meet the different needs for preparation, information, support and reassurance. I am a small practice with small groups, so the sessions are parent-focused and informal.
