PuddleDucks Swimming

Run by Carolyn, Puddle Ducks Newcastle runs swimming classes for babies, toddlers and older children and they have expanded to run swim classes in Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, Sunderland, South Tyneside and Gateshead.

Puddle Ducks provide baby swimming and toddler swimming classes that teach your child to swim, be safe and have fun in the water. We promote fun and enjoyment with a strong ethos of putting your child’s happiness first.

In our baby swimming classes babies enjoy freedom of movement, relaxation and bonding. In our toddler swimming classes children gain confidence and water safety skills. In all swimming classes a child learns to swim without armbands and with efficiency. Many of our Puddle Ducks are able to swim at least 10m unaided by the time they start school…and all of them love swimming for life!

Our baby swimming and toddler swimming classes are fun, engaging and musical. We lead babies and children in easy stages from water confidence to swimming with grace and style.

Our pools are all hydrotherapy pools so nice and warm for the parents too!

Swimming has always been a big part of my life and even more so when I started taking my son, William, to baby swimming classes at just seven weeks old. Since then, I have watched in wonder as my precious little boy has become so confident in the water. I almost burst with pride when he held onto the poolside unaided and pulled himself out of the pool for the first time in his Puddle Ducks class at just seven months old.

Having been a competitive swimmer and lifeguard myself, I cannot stress enough the importance of water safety and confidence from an early age. I am absolutely delighted to be be a part of the Puddle Ducks programme and to be bringing it to babies and pre-school children in the North East.
