The Birth & Baby Network is 5!

On February 1st 2011 I launched the Birth & Baby Network – as a way of recommending and working alongside other good pregnancy, birth & baby services in North Tyneside.

The Birth & Baby Network has allowed me to work with more practitioners and parents, it has played a part in the development of the Birth & Baby Family Centre and it has allowed me to write a range of articles and blog posts to provide good information and links to support.  We cover a range of issues from general pregnancy, birth and baby topics to more sensitive subjects like miscarriage, stillbirth and babyloss, mental health and birth trauma.

ne blogger awards

The blog has twice been a finalist in the NE Blogger Awards and it is now regularly read by 20,000 people each month.

To celebrate 5 years, it’s time to make a few additions, which will happen over the next few weeks and months. The first change is that it will be known as The Birth, Baby & Family Network so we can reach, inform and support parents,  grandparents and siblings.

I am so proud of the Network – and I get so much positive feedback about it – so it makes sense it expand to include information for families with older children.

feedback

I am also proud to work alongside some brilliant Tyneside businesses -who provide excellent support, services and classes for parents with bumps, babies and toddlers – and the team of Network bloggers.

So, over the next few weeks, I will be introducing some new features, pages and posts.

Thank you so much for your support, for your comments, for your ideas and contributions, for reading
and for sharing – please keep doing just that…

I am an antenatal teacher, doula, baby massage instructor, postnatal educator, life coach, writer, mum, wife, friend and, sometimes, just me. As an experienced and qualified practitioner, I specialise in pregnancy, birth and early parenting - my aim is to listen, inform, support and reassure when needed. I have worked with parents since 2002 and I set up Birth, Baby & Family in 2011 to provide good information, a different perspective and links to the best products and services for families. I set up the Birth, Baby & Family Centre in 2014 to provide a welcoming, friendly and supportive space for parents across Tyneside.
