On February 1st 2011 I launched the Birth & Baby Network – as a way of recommending and working alongside other good pregnancy, birth & baby services in North Tyneside.
The Birth & Baby Network has allowed me to work with more practitioners and parents, it has played a part in the development of the Birth & Baby Family Centre and it has allowed me to write a range of articles and blog posts to provide good information and links to support. We cover a range of issues from general pregnancy, birth and baby topics to more sensitive subjects like miscarriage, stillbirth and babyloss, mental health and birth trauma.
The blog has twice been a finalist in the NE Blogger Awards and it is now regularly read by 20,000 people each month.
To celebrate 5 years, it’s time to make a few additions, which will happen over the next few weeks and months. The first change is that it will be known as The Birth, Baby & Family Network so we can reach, inform and support parents, grandparents and siblings.
I am so proud of the Network – and I get so much positive feedback about it – so it makes sense it expand to include information for families with older children.
I am also proud to work alongside some brilliant Tyneside businesses -who provide excellent support, services and classes for parents with bumps, babies and toddlers – and the team of Network bloggers.
So, over the next few weeks, I will be introducing some new features, pages and posts.
Thank you so much for your support, for your comments, for your ideas and contributions, for reading
and for sharing – please keep doing just that…
