In the blink of an eye, 7 weeks has gone. It’s all about juggling work and kids, I never feel like I have enough time to do all I need to do but I try to spend as much time with the kids as I can – difficult now they are teenagers and have their own social lives.
We are all ready for the return of routine but I am sad it is done – I rather like the chaos and feralness of summer with no alarm clocks, no schedule, no real plans.
This summer has been about a relaxing family holiday – exploring, eating, laughing, relaxing, sleeping and endless card games – it has been about GCSE results, it has been about hanging out.
Next week is all about being back to work for me, it’s about a new school year and GCSE options for one teenager and a fresh start of A-levels and sixth form for the eldest teenager. There will be a new set of challenges and experiences. Bring. It. On…
